In the Beginning Was the Word — John 1:1 Art Print

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). John opens his Gospel not in Bethlehem but before time itself, with Christ, the eternal Word through whom all things were made, the light that shines in the darkness and is not overcome (John 1:5).

This Byzantine-inspired icon art gives those opening lines a visual home, pairing the radiance of Christ with luminous gold and rich, reverent color. It’s scripture you can see.

Ideal above a reading chair, in a study, or as a gift for a pastor, teacher, or new believer who loves the Word.
